How we work
Every health page on Femwise is written for Indian women in plain words, checked by a qualified expert and kept up to date. This is exactly how.
Quick answer
Femwise Health's articles are written by trained health writers and reviewed by a registered dietitian or a registered doctor, whose name and review date appear on the page. They are based on clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed research. We update every article at least once a year, correct confirmed errors within seven days and never publish paid content.
Our process
01
From what women ask us on WhatsApp and in comments, and what they search for.
02
In Hindi or in English, each written natively rather than translated.
03
A registered dietitian for food, a registered doctor for anything medical. Their name and the review date go on the page.
04
Listed at the end so you can check them.
05
Reviewing every article at least once a year and sooner when guidance changes. The "Updated on" date shows when.
We use
We don't use
International and Indian clinical guidelines, such as the 2023 international PCOS guideline and guidance from ICMR, FOGSI and the Ministry of Health
Blogs, forums and social media posts
Peer-reviewed research in medical and nutrition journals
Websites that sell the product they're writing about
Government and global health bodies, such as WHO
A single small study presented as settled fact
✓ The facts and numbers match the sources.
✓ The safety lines are there: when to see a doctor, and when to go to hospital.
✓ Nothing reads as a diagnosis, a promise or personal medical advice.
✓ The words are plain, kind and free of blame about weight.
We may use AI tools to help research a topic or tidy a draft. A human writer checks every fact against our sources, and a qualified expert approves every health page before it goes live. We never use AI to answer your health questions, never show AI-made people as patients, doctors or clients, and we label realistic AI visuals in our videos.
✕ Promises of a cure, a miracle or a set amount of weight loss
✕ Promotion of medicines or supplements
✕ Before-and-after photos
✕ Client stories without written permission, or with weights, lab results or doctors' names
✕ Anything that tells you that you have a condition
Femwise earns money from its programs and guides. An article may link to one of them, always openly. We don't accept paid articles or sponsored content. Affiliate links are labelled "Affiliate" where you see them and are never used for medicines or supplements. Reviewers are paid for their time, never for the conclusions they reach.
Spotted a mistake? Email hello@femwisehealth.com with "Correction" in the subject line. We reply within one working day and fix confirmed errors within seven days, noting the change at the end of the article.
