Specialist-led care for the metabolic side of PCOS

PCOS's new name, PMOS, includes the word metabolic because the condition can affect blood sugar, cholesterol and weight, not only the ovaries. Metabolic Care+ puts a specialist doctor in charge of that side of your health for 12 weeks, with a dietitian and a habit coach beside you.

Quick answer

Metabolic Care+ is a 12-week Femwise Health program for women with PCOS (now called PMOS) whose blood sugar, cholesterol or weight needs a doctor's attention. A specialist in internal medicine or endocrinology leads three consults and reviews your lab reports, and a dietitian builds a muscle-protecting food and strength plan. About medicines

Femwise never sells, supplies or promotes any medicine. Your specialist decides whether you need one. If you do, you get an e-prescription carrying their registration number and buy the medicine at a pharmacy of your choice. Before prescribing anything, your specialist asks about pregnancy plans and contraception, because some medicines are not safe in pregnancy.

Questions

Questions about Metabolic Care+

Does Metabolic Care+ include medicines?

No. It is 12 weeks of specialist consults, lab review, food and strength training. Your specialist may discuss medicine if your health needs it, but no medicine is promised, sold or included in the price.

How is it different from One-to-one PCOS Care?

One-to-one care is led by a dietitian, with a partner gynaecologist. Metabolic Care+ is led by a specialist in internal medicine or endocrinology, adds a full lab review and a third consult, and builds your food and strength plan around protecting muscle.

Who are the specialists?

Doctors with an MD in internal medicine or a DM in endocrinology. Their names, qualifications and registration numbers will be on Our doctors before the program opens.

Do I need recent blood tests to join?

No. Your specialist tells you in week 1 which tests you need. You do them at a lab you choose and pay the lab directly.

Why does it open in April 2027?

We are bringing specialists on board and testing the program with our medical lead first, so it is ready before anyone pays for it.

Can I start something now?

Yes. You can start One-to-one PCOS Care now, and if your partner doctor feels you need a specialist, you can join Metabolic Care+ when it opens.
